Daniel Pudil was part of the oh-so-nearly Sheffield Wednesday group that almost got the Owls back to the promised land of the Premier League. In this week's edition of the All Wednesday show we spoke to the former SWFC defender about life in that group of players, and his thoughts on why things didn't work out in the end.

00:00Yeah, obviously when I came back from the Czech Republic after I retired from professional football, I had a little break.
00:07I had been looking after the kids because I didn't have time to spend as much time with my kids.
00:12I didn't see them grow up as much.
00:14So I had a little break for several months.
00:17After that, I got an offer from Mark, who is working for the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme.
00:25There is a spot as a manager or as a coach to help develop the kids.
00:31So I just tried. I had a little go for the first couple of weeks and I started to like it.
00:37I know it stays there now.
00:39So I'm there already. This is my third season.
00:41Working from Monday till Thursday.
00:44Session, games, recovery session.
00:46Trying to be part of the Sheffield Wednesday and I really like it.
00:51I enjoy it.
00:52I don't like to be sitting just on my bed at home and don't do anything.
00:57That's why I've opened my own football academy as well.

01:14As I said, I'm still playing for Hallam FC as well.
