00:00An impeachment complaint was filed against Vice President Sara Duterte by several individuals today.

00:06Some of the victims of the complaint are the wife of Dice in the life of President Bongbong Marcos

00:11and the unexplained expenses of OVP Confidential Funds.

00:15Chino Gaston has the report.

00:2116 individuals signed the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:26Among them are the children of some of the victims of the Duterte drug war,

00:30Father Robert Reyes, a running priest, and the grandson of former Senator Ninoy Aquino.

00:36Former Senator Laila de Lima was the spokesperson of the complainants.

00:42The grounds for impeachment are

00:45culpable violation of the Constitution, graft and corruption, bribery, betrayal of the public trust, and other high crimes.

00:53There are 24 articles of impeachment.

01:24Earlier, President Marcos said that the impeachment of Duterte is just a matter of time.

01:30But for ACT-Bayan party list representative Percy Sendanya, who endorsed the impeachment complaint,

01:37This impeachment complaint is important to start the real step process towards holding the Vice President accountable.

01:47The complaint must be referred to the plenary to be endorsed by the Committee on Justice.

01:53The committee will decide if the complaint is sufficient, informed, and substantial.

01:58However, the last day of the session before Christmas break is already on December 21.

02:03We have 10 days to accommodate, 10 session days.

02:08If it is filed now, it is insufficient.

02:11My legal staff will also look into it to see if there is any evidence.

02:16Betrayal, public trust, and other things.

02:19These are the basis for impeachment.

02:22Sendanya believes that impeachment is not limited to a short period of time.

02:28A congressman clarified that there is nothing to do with the impeachment complaint,

02:32the separate investigation of the cameras in the Duterte drug war and the fund utilization of the OVP and DepEd.

02:39There are people who would have that opinion that what is coming out of these hearings would be a ground.

02:46We are also trying to get a statement from Duterte's camp, which was led by a new subpoena from the NBI earlier this afternoon.

02:54The investigation is related to the assassination of Vice President, First Lady, and House Speaker.

03:00The investigation was postponed to December 11, which was held last Friday after the vice president did not appear.

03:07The NBI also said that it will not give advance questions to the vice president regarding the investigation.
