00:09All right. The Atlantic
00:11hurricane season officially
00:13ended on Sunday. I want to
00:13take a look at the three
00:18unusual facts. About the 2024
00:20Atlantic hurricane season, and
00:22the number one unusual fact is
00:24there was a lack of a long
00:25track storm. What's a long
00:27track storm? A storm that
00:29occurred in the Gulf of Mexico
00:31in the early part of the year.
00:34There was only one so far, so
00:38for the season, and it was
00:40barrel. There's the long track
00:41here with barrel that came
00:43across the tropical Atlantic
00:44into the Caribbean into the
00:46Gulf of Mexico, then making
00:48landfall in Texas. All of the
00:50other storms were more
00:51homegrown development. And
00:52here's the thing about barrel.
00:54Look when it occurred. The long
00:55track storm occurred when you
00:56usually get homegrown
00:58development, and that's when
00:59you get homegrown development.
01:01And that's when you get
01:02hurricane season. This was the
01:04strongest Category five
01:06earliest Category five ever by
01:09about two weeks. Our number two
01:11unusual fact about this
01:13hurricane season was the low
01:13during the peak of the season,
01:17in particular. From mid August
01:18into the first week of
01:20September. Look at history. How
01:22you get the sharp incline or
01:24increase in name storms and
01:26hurricanes. Well, guess what?
01:27From mid August to the eighth
01:29of September, there was
01:30nothing. But then that leads
01:33us to our number three.
01:35Unusual fact the backloaded
01:38season from September 24th
01:40through the month of November,
01:42there was 11 named storms and
01:44seven hurricanes. The
01:45historical averages are five
01:47and three and then look at
01:48November. We have three named
01:49storms, including one
01:52hurricane. What normally
01:54happens in November, one name
