00:00Houston versus BYU this one keeps getting me a tongue tied because it's
00:06the Cougars versus the Cougars which Cougar is gonna be on the bigger prowl
00:09here 7-7 tied up now the first quarter has come to a close Houston actually
00:14opened up the scoring but BYU I mean they've kind of muzzled their chances in
00:18a number of ways they went from perfection to just kind of a landslide
00:21but we were expecting them to probably close out on a stronger note although
00:25Houston has presented problematic defensively for a number of teams
00:29earlier in the season kind of looking to get back in rear form right now what
00:33do you make of this game so far yeah for BYU they came into this one
00:37laying close to ten points almost sitting at double digits they went off
00:41as nine and a half point favorites they get through the first day it's locked at
00:45seven apiece and for the Cougars you know you highlighted it was a lot of
00:50promise and a lot of expectation going as close as you know three weeks ago
00:55they yeah they dropped back-to-back losses again against Kansas and then
00:58Arizona State and there's a really good chance that they're gonna be in a dog
01:02fight late in this one as well you know you've got to keep in mind some of these
01:06other programs you know for a Houston Cougars who was sitting at four and
01:10seven three and five in conference play this is their championship game this is
01:15their Super Bowl for a lot of young guys they're trying to prove their worth even
01:19if your starters maybe aren't getting all the reps out there the twos and
01:23threes are trying to prove that they should absolutely be in the
01:26conversation once they come in to you know a new year next season so there's
01:30just always a little extra on the line and just when you think that it could be
01:35caught napping here we are BYU Cougars really in a bit of a scrap going in to
01:41the second quarter so it's locked at seven apiece it's not a bad one to jump
01:44in and live bet if you will I really don't see a way in which the Cougars
01:48separated well I should say the BYU Cougars they're both Cougars I don't
01:53think BYU you're gonna run away with this one I think the closer that Houston
01:56keeps it going into the halftime break they're gonna be live in the second half
02:00and trying to win this thing straight up yeah I guess in this one we're looking
02:03for the Alpha Cougar I get I don't know I'm just trying to find a way to
02:06separate the two but we don't want to get too crazy with any of that 1320 now
02:11left in that second quarter as it continues to remain deadlocked
