00:41Many of the registrants are transferees or voters who moved to other places using the barangay certificate.

01:03For example, in one place, they increased P4,000.

01:07That's unusual.

01:09If the increase is that big, that's enough to elect a mayor.

01:17Comelec is investigating several places after receiving reports of flying voters.

01:24This Wednesday, the disqualification case was filed against a barangay chairman in Cagayan de Oro City,

01:31where they were asked to issue a barangay certificate to non-residents who live in the barangay

01:39so that they can register as voters of the barangay.

01:44The barangay chairman was surprised by the allegations.

01:47He said on GMA News Online that he did not use any illegal means to force the residents to register as voters.

01:57The increase of voters in their barangay is only due to the public's call for Comelec and other agencies to participate in the election.

02:06A while ago, a senator complained about the increase in the number of voters in San Juan City.

02:13Comelec is now looking into it.

02:15They will also conduct a preliminary investigation and call the barangay leaders.

02:20They can face criminal charges.

02:23The commission will also consult with the Department of Interior and local government for possible administrative cases.
