00:00Hi, I'm Brianne. I'm from Paisley and I was born with no arms.
00:04I have a TikTok account where I do my makeup with my feet.
00:07I try not to let my disability get in the way of anything that I do.
00:11It does sometimes become an issue, but people like my agent try and help kind of argue in my favour
00:17or like I became paralysed with FND for a while.
00:20I thought, my God, this is it. So she then went out and got me modelling work.
00:24On my TikTok, I do obviously the makeup with my feet because a lot of people find that really interesting
00:29which I thought was quite boring at first, but I also do, like I make fun of the fact I'm an amputee
00:34and I just like use all the jokes I can because I mean I can, so I may as well.
00:39Obviously there's some things I can't quite do or maybe I shouldn't do, but I do do.
00:44Like when I cook, I burn myself a lot because I can't like grip like the handles on things.
00:49I started learning to drive. It started out quite difficult because I wasn't on like
00:54motability or anything like that because they counted amputations as a temporary illness,
00:58which is an interesting one and I know I'm not the only amputee that's also been told that.
01:02So I had to kind of save up, buy my own car, kind of buy my own adaptions.
01:07And out of three lessons, I crashed twice.
01:09And being able to kind of show other amputees or parents of amputees especially
01:13because a lot of parents when they're told their child's missing the limb, they're like,
01:16oh my God, that's it, you know, the child's going to be not able to do anything by themselves.
01:22I've heard of a lot of parents who have been told to abort children because they're missing limbs.
01:27You just learn to kind of live with it.
