00:00Let's go back to the story of Luisa Eris Pehingil in the hearing of the vice president in the NBI. Luisa.

00:05Naomi, as I mentioned earlier, the vice president is on show today in the hearing of the National Bureau of Investigation.

00:15But even though she didn't run away, her lawyer, attorney Paul Lim, received a letter from the vice president

00:22asking for a new schedule for their investigation.

00:26The NBI approved it and the hearing was rescheduled to December 11.

00:32According to NBI Director Jaime Santiago, some of the reasons why she didn't run away today

00:39are because she didn't expect that the Committee on Food Governance would suddenly remove the camera.

00:47She also had some reasons to run away from her office.

00:50In addition, Vice President Sara is asking for questions from the NBI.

00:56But Director Santiago also said that the NBI will investigate if they will give questions to Vice President Sara

01:03because she's not the one who does most of the NBI's work.

01:07Vice President Sara was given until December 11 because she wanted the vice president to prepare or to give her time.

01:15But even though the vice president didn't run away, their investigation is still ongoing.

01:22Here is what Director Jaime Santiago said.

01:26For example, if my mom is sick, it's a valid reason or whatever, it's a valid reason.

01:36Except for the fact that she won't come here, that Honey Ho won't come here, that the council won't send her,

01:41that will indicate that she's already waiving her right to face our investigation.

01:50Besides the statements of Vice President Sara that she will oppose President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

01:56First Lady Liza Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez,

02:00the NBI will also investigate and ask the vice president about the threats that she received against her.

02:09If the vice president, who faced the NBI earlier on December 11, opens her office,

02:18aside from VP Sara, the NBI will also ask others to attend the live zoom press conference.

03:18in the investigation of the NBI and DOJ against VP Sara.

03:22The Director of the NBI said that they are ready to assist Ombudsman in the possible shift to take over the investigation.
