00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark, I'm Rameet and the car that we are driving today is the
00:13all new Mahindra's XEV90 now.
00:21This is the second vehicle that Mahindra has launched, that is the Born Electric SUV.
00:33So this will be a quick driving impression of this all new electric SUV from Mahindra.
00:41So let's start off with the front end of the vehicle.
00:43Now you can see the overall silhouette is kind of same.
00:47So at the front you get your connected LED DRLs, then you also have your headlamp setup.
00:53So everything is practically an LED unit.
00:57Also if you see that this has also very sharp body lines and apart from that it looks really
01:03muscular from the front end.
01:05If you move to the side you get the 20 inch wheels with the aero finish.
01:10Again looks fantastic, you have gloss black body cladding all over.
01:15So that thing basically enhances the exterior looks of the car and one more thing is that
01:23you can see that this has around 207 mm of ground clearance.
01:25So I mean it looks more than 207 but it is 207 that is pretty decent for a city car.
01:34Also if you move to the side you will see that this gets flush door handles as you get
01:40on the V6C.
01:41So these flush door handles obviously come inside once you have started to drive and
01:47if you move to the back you will notice that this gets again the connected LED tail lamp
01:52setup and apart from the LED full connected LED tail lamp you can see that the indicator
01:59is integrated inside plus everything the entire lighting setup on this vehicle is LED.
02:06So that's a really good thing plus you have piano black finishing on the bumpers as well
02:12and overall the car looks absolutely fantastic.
02:15You have a sunroof that obviously does not open but the shade is completely you can open
02:20the shade.
02:21You have a shark fin antenna and actually the vehicle looks really really nice in the
02:27entire especially in this red color it is going overall well.
02:32Now if you will come on the inside you will see that you have a completely different cockpit
02:40as to what you have seen on the V6C.
02:45So over here first you will enter you will see a three screen setup.
02:49I mean this is the first time an Indian car has three screens.
02:53So it has a three screen setup one for the passenger one is your infotainment system
02:57and one is your cluster.
02:59The interiors are finished in dual tone.
03:02You get pretty nice seats and these seats are leather seats and they are ventilated
03:08as well.
03:10Apart from that you can see that the rear you have a little more space than the V6C
03:16you have three headrests, you have an armrest, you have a flat floor, you have your rear
03:21AC vents and obviously from the inside if you see the sunroof I mean the glass has some
03:26patterns and obviously it glows at night you have the Mahindra logo and talking about
03:30logos now Mahindra has also introduced a new logo for their electric cars.
03:35So the logo is printed on the front and the back and it glows as well.
03:39Also you have the same logo that is present over here on the steering wheel as well.
03:44Apart from that the steering wheel is kind of different from the V6C it is a flat bottom
03:49steering wheel but it is completely wrapped in leather entire fit and finish quality of
03:54the vehicle is really nice and what you see next to us is the BE6E and this looks actually
04:00nice this shade especially with the gloss black finishing as you can see everything
04:07on the exterior is fantastic car looks visually the car looks absolutely fantastic.
04:12Now over here you have your two zone climate controls, you have your drive modes and there
04:17are a lot of things in this vehicle.
04:19So let us quickly start talking about the powertrain of this vehicle.
04:23So this gets a single motor that powers the rear wheels and this motor is basically there
04:28are two battery packs one is a 59 kilowatt hour and the second one is a 79 kilowatt hour.
04:34So the 59 kilowatt hour battery pack it produces around 228 bhp of power and this one what
04:40we are driving is the long range that is 79 kilowatt hour battery pack and this thing
04:44produces around 280 bhp and 380 nm of peak torque and trust me when I say that you have
04:52around 280 bhp in an electric car that means you have no power losses and once you put
04:58your foot down you will experience something like this and the acceleration is really really
05:07blistering since it's an all electric car 280 bhp no transmission losses no power losses
05:12you just straight get an intense torque delivery and it just shoots ahead initial mid range
05:20top end everything is just awesome.
05:23Steering wheel adapts to the driving modes it's very responsive talking about suspension
05:28it is it is very nice it is tuned to take the bumps potholes and the undulations that
05:34the that our Indian roads have to offer.
05:37Now since this is an EV obviously the one thing that is there is the noise from the
05:42outside so the NVH levels are excellent plus you also have the tyres that are specially
05:48designed for this vehicle they have foam technology so that the noise from the tyre
05:52the tyre noise can be reduced and they are actually not felt that much even at high speed
05:57so usually in an electric vehicle since it's so silent you have tyre noise and that's the
06:02only noise that creeps in inside the cabin so they have taken care of that as well.
06:06Now let's talk about the charging facility so since this is an EV obviously in one full
06:11charge the real world range is approximately 500 plus kilometers and that is really really
06:16nice for a EV vehicle specially a made in India EV vehicle that is offering more than
06:23500 kilometers of range on a full charge.
06:27If you talk about the charging then this gets a 140 kilowatt charging this gets regular
06:31charging and it also gets a super fast 175 kilowatt hour charging that the DC charging
06:37and in that you can charge the vehicle from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.
06:43Yes you heard me right in 20 minutes if you find a 175 kilowatt hour charger then you
06:47can charge this car in 20 minutes and then again you are good to go so I think in 20
06:52minutes I think in another 30 to 40 minutes it will charge it completely and you can go
06:58for the next 500 plus kilometers if you're traveling somewhere without any I mean that
07:04is a very less time you can actually take a small break during that time when I mean
07:08you can halt so yeah guys this is something that man has come up obviously on the inside
07:15there are a lot of other things like you have a heads up display you have the window control
07:19that are slightly different you have a 16 speaker Harman Kardon sound system that is
07:24fantastic I mean you can see you have speakers on the roof as well so I mean they've designed
07:29it in such a way that if you're driving or if you're sitting behind you will get a proper
07:34sound quality from every place that you sit this is a five seater it's got a massive boot
07:41it is loaded with features if we talk about safety it's got level 2 plus ADAS it's got
07:45airbag EBS so safety has been taken care of with that also it has a six camera setup now
07:51how is how is that a six camera setup four are on the outside for the 360 degree camera
07:56one is for the ADAS over here and one is an internal camera that's present over here now
08:00this camera is also for a safety feature this actually reads your face recognizes if you're
08:05tired if you want to take a break or if you're falling asleep it'll take the car to the side
08:09and it will just I mean try to first wake you up and if you have slept off then I think it will
08:17come to a dead stop so all these things make it a really safe car this is a very short drive so
08:23we just tried to explain whatever this car has to offer and so yeah if you like the video please
