Crawley Town face Lincoln City in the FA Cup second round on Saturday. The Reds beat the Imps 3-0 in League One last month and will be looking to repeat that and book themselves in the third round draw. Here's midfielder Jeremy Kelly's thoughts on the game.

00:00Jeremy, thank you for joining us. More FA Cup action for us to look forward to this
00:05weekend. What's the mood in Camp Lark before that one?
00:09Mood's very good. We've tightened up this past few games and I feel like we're on a
00:14good run of form, so the mood's been good every day. Even when we weren't doing well,
00:17the mood was good. I think you don't get too low, you don't get too high, so that's been
00:22one of the better things about this team.
00:23Yeah, it must have been really pleasing for the players because so many of the recent
00:26performances have deserved three points, so to actually come away with three after
00:29a game must have been a bit of a weight lifted off their shoulders, is that the right way
00:32to put it?
00:33Yeah, I'd say it was a bit of a relief, but every game you kind of treat as its own game,
00:39but that feeling of winning a game, especially at home at the broadfield, that's what we
00:43chase and hopefully that'll happen a lot more.
00:46Yeah, and obviously you're familiar with the English game now, so you'll know what the
00:50FA Cup will mean to a lot of fans, staff players as well. We know that one win could see us
00:56playing some pretty big teams at some pretty big stadiums, like we've already had this
00:59year against Brighton, so it must be an exciting prospect for the players.
01:02No, playing at the Amex was an amazing feeling, so I think everybody loves those opportunities
01:06to play against, whether it's a big club or at least a club that's higher up. We know
01:11we have a tough one against Lincoln City, but after that, if we're able to win, fans,
01:17players, everyone will be looking forward to it.
01:20Yeah, and how's the time with Robin? We've had a couple of months now of Rob Elliott's
01:24football we've been settling in. Obviously, you've played in a couple of different positions
01:27as well. How have you been finding it?
01:29Good. I think it takes a few weeks for the managers and players to gain an understanding
01:33of each other, but once that happens and you understand what he wants, how he wants it,
01:37things get a lot easier and I think that's click right now. We've still got a little
01:42work to do, but we're getting closer and, yeah, it's been good.
01:46Yeah, and some changes for you. Happy Thanksgiving, I suppose. It's the first one you've spent
01:50over here, not in the States, so it must be a bit of a change. How have you been finding
01:54it?
01:55It's all right. I mean, I surely won't be eating tons of food and watching American
01:59football or doing anything like that, but I'll have a little bit of turkey for dinner.
02:04It's bigger than Christmas over there, to be honest, so it's a shame not to be over
02:08there, but I'm very happy to be here.
02:11Brilliant. Growing up in America, the FA Cup, what did it mean? Did you watch it a lot?
02:16Did you follow it a lot? Does it mean a lot to Americans?
02:19I wouldn't say it means as much to Americans as it does over here. No American is as passionate
02:25about a specific team as fans over here, so you'd watch it and you'd see some minnows
02:31playing some big teams and that would be interesting, but no, you don't get the passion for the
02:35FA Cup that you get over here. The Prem is probably way more important.
02:40On Saturday, we saw you play in a slightly different position to what you had been. Have
02:43you got a favourite position? Because you played really well in that on Saturday, but
02:47is there any position you particularly like?
02:51Not really. I think that's one of my biggest assets, is I can play all over the place.
02:56What I tell them is if I'm on the pitch, that's all that matters. So wherever it is, left
03:01wing, in the middle, slightly further up, further back, that doesn't matter. I'm just
03:05happy to be on the pitch.
03:07After Saturday's game, I said how well you played to Rob Elliott and he said you're one
03:12of the most technically gifted players he's ever worked with. That must be nice to hear,
03:15mustn't it?
03:16It is. It's always nice when you get a compliment, especially from your gaffer. But that's one
03:22of the things I bring to the team. You try to have balance in a team, so there's other
03:26players that offer different assets and traits. So I'm just happy he says that, but I'm glad
03:33I can bring something to the team.
03:35It's coming up almost a year now since you've been at Crawley. How have you found the time?
03:40There's been a lot of changes, hasn't there? It must be exciting for you now to be playing
03:43at some massive stadiums on Tuesday night. You're playing at the Valley against Charlton.
03:48From where you started with Crawley to where you are now, it's been quite a big journey,
03:51hasn't it, in a year?
03:53It has. I wouldn't have expected to be where we are now, me or the team. But you're right,
03:59playing at St Andrews later in the year, it's been great. I've watched some games when I
04:06was back home and you see some of these teams in the Prem and you go to a Reading or a Wigan.
04:11I've watched plenty of those games before, 10 years ago. That's one of the great things
04:16of playing in English football, is that you play all over the place and against teams
04:20that historically have been great and some that are places you've never even heard of.
04:26So that's been one of the biggest things that I've enjoyed since I've been over here.
04:30Brilliant. Thanks, Jeremy. Good luck Saturday.
04:32Thank you, guys.
