In this video, we’ll provide a detailed getting-started guide for the Banana Pi M4-Zero, a versatile single-board computer. We’ll begin by flashing the Armbian 24.8.2 Jammy Minimal Ubuntu OS onto an SD card using BalenaEtcher. Afterward, we’ll boot the Banana Pi M4-Zero with the flashed OS and connect a USB-to-TTL converter to the debug port to access the terminal using PuTTY.
During the initial setup, we’ll configure the OS by setting the root password, connecting to WiFi. We’ll also verify the CPU, RAM, and storage details. Using the nmcli tool, we’ll establish a connection to the WiFi network seamlessly.
Once the WiFi connection is successful, we’ll use the wlan0 interface IP address to connect to the Banana Pi M4-Zero via SSH over WiFi, eliminating the need for the USB-to-TTL converter. This method allows you to operate your Banana Pi M4-Zero in a fully headless mode, making it the ideal setup for remote access and development.
