00:00I always thought that this would be my last contract at the Sydney Swans.
00:06I was thinking that the end of next year was probably, if I could get through to that point,
00:10it would be a good time to get through to that. Whilst my head was trying to talk myself in to
00:17keep going to the end of next year, my gut was saying that's about enough. It's time to rest,
00:25time to reflect on what I've been a part of to this point in time and time to re-energise.
00:32I couldn't help but thinking as we sit in this magnificent facility
00:37and once again the record crowds, the record membership, the guarantee, I thought if I'm
00:45going to do it, probably now's the time to do it. I wanted to thank everyone that I've
00:49been involved with. I wanted to thank our supporters who have been absolutely fantastic,
00:57so supportive of myself and the team, so enthusiastic. This year was another level
01:03of the SED, I've never seen anything like it. To John, to have a coach or to be involved in
01:14an organisation for so long and to have an impact like you have had is profound. I've
01:20been fortunate enough to see that first hand and I think everyone here from staff,
01:26players, current and past, we say exactly the same.
