00:25I was seen as because of them.
00:27And yet because they did so well, I was given the opportunity to do the films that I ended
00:31up getting Oscar nominations for.
00:33She continued,
00:34They were the most successful films I'll ever be a part of.
00:37And they were the reason that I was taken down publicly.
00:40So they're a very confused place in my head.
00:42The experience was so jarring that Knightley has no interest in returning to movie franchises.
00:47She said,
00:48The hours are insane.
00:49It's years of your life.
00:50You have no control over when you're filming, how long you're filming, what you're filming.
00:54Knightley also shared that she has become more particular about her career choices after
00:58welcoming two daughters with her husband.

01:01I couldn't go job to job abroad now.
01:03It wouldn't be in any way fair on them.
01:05And I wouldn't want to.
01:07I've chosen to have children.
01:08I want to bring them up.
01:09So I've had to take a major step back.
01:11Knightley's latest project, the series Black Doves, will be available to stream on Netflix
