00:00Hi, I'm Chloe and I'm just playing the genie.
00:05Okay, Chloe, tell me a little bit how you feel about playing the genie and is this your first show?
00:10This isn't my first show, this is my third show now. I did my first one in 2022.
00:18I feel really excited about playing the genie because I've never done like really big roles before, just like duets and stuff.
00:26So now I've got like a solo so that's really exciting and I'm very happy about it.
00:33What do you love about skating?
00:37I love that like you can just like perform whilst you're doing it, you know, like you can perform to the audience.
00:45And I love just like doing all the tricks and stuff and all of that, you know, and I just love the performance most of all.
00:54And how long have you been skating for?
00:56I've been skating for six years now since I was eight years old and I started out in an ice rink in Scotland and then moved here when I was 10.

01:11Annie, tell me who you're playing in the performance.
01:16I am playing the Sultan, so Jasmine's dad.
01:20Brilliant. Tell me why you wanted to be part of the show.
01:23I've been part of Gosport skating shows since about 2005, so it's sort of become a bit of a Christmas family tradition now that we all come down and we take part and then family come and watch and then it's not Christmas until we've done the Christmas show.
01:37Oh, brilliant. So how long have you been skating for?
01:4019 years this year.
01:43Are you part of the club here did you say?
01:45Yeah, so I coach here as well as skate.
01:47Brilliant. And what is it about skating that you love?
01:50Just the way it allows you to express yourself, the entertainment factor and also the difficulty factor. Everybody thinks it's really easy, but actually it's not.
02:00Brilliant. It's very technical, you know, hands down to you. So how hard has training been for the show?
02:11It's been a mix really. So my bits are a little bit easier because I can choreograph my own stuff. But for like the little ones, they train every single week and obviously for the adults they train every single week.
02:22So it's a mix really, but it's a good amount of fun mixed with obviously hard work.
