Speaking on the sidelines of the G7 meeting in Fiuggi, Italy, Britain's Foreign Minister David Lammy says that the UK is sanctioning 30 more ships in Russia's "shadow fleet". He calls the measures the UK's "biggest sanctions package" yet, against tankers and cargo ships used by Moscow to circumvent export and oil embargoes to fund its war against Ukraine.

00:00We are shadowing 30 Russian vessels. We are determined to ensure that both the ships,
00:10the enablers of those ships thwarting European and UK sanctions are hurt at this time and that
00:21we ensure that the attempts to circumvent the sanctions that we put in place previously and of
00:33course to avoid Russia using its oil revenues to continue to fund its war, that we bear down
00:43on those issues. This morning I'm announcing the biggest sanctions package of the Russian
00:50shadow fleet and it underlines the UK commitment to Ukraine. We are supporting them by three billion
00:59pounds a year every year for as long as it lasts to support them militarily and of course with
01:05both economic and humanitarian aid we continue to support Ukraine.
