00:00I felt really disgusting about my body.
00:02Me going on the stage, it was kind of like a breakthrough moment.
00:04I can be healthy, but I will be big-boned or curvy.
00:14In Nepal, the girls are naturally very petite.
00:16They're very small.
00:17They're shorter.
00:18I was the tallest girl.
00:19And I would always feel like I have to starve myself or be thin like them.
00:30People would always make comments about it or call me ugly or fat.
00:46And I've always had...
00:47That's just my genes.
00:48Having a bigger butt, a bigger breasts.
00:52And there's nothing wrong with that.
00:53That's just who I am.
00:54I used to do a lot of self-harm since the age of 16.
01:01I would cut myself.
01:02I would be very suicidal.
01:13So I started my journey with self-love.
01:17I did a lot of therapy.
01:18I did a lot of affirmations and meditation.
01:22Medication.
01:24Journaling.
01:24Just processing my trauma and whatever I went through.
01:28And I also started going to the gym.
01:30I worked out a lot.
01:31I felt more alive.
01:33I felt more healthy.
01:35So
01:51beauty standards are very...
01:53It's outdated now.
01:55Because it's about time that the world shows that everyone is beautiful.
01:58That we are all diverse.
01:59That we are all unique.
02:01You don't have to be a size zero.
02:02You don't have to be super thin.
02:03You don't have to be a certain look to be considered beautiful.
02:15Sometimes I would compare myself.
02:16And I'd be like, oh, like, they're favorites.
02:17They have everybody cheering their name.
02:19Like, nobody's cheering my name, you know?
02:21And then I walked on that stage and I got the loudest cheers.
02:24And I was like, wow.
02:24Like, I felt so empowered.
02:25I was like, I did my purpose.
02:33A lot of people online, you know, made a lot of mean comments about me.
02:42But I didn't let it affect me.
02:44It did affect me sometimes.
02:45If I would see the comments, you know, like, continuous comments.
02:48Of course, it affects you.
02:49Like, we're human.
02:50But after a while, I just, like, kept telling myself, like, I'm focused on my goal.
02:54My goal is to inspire millions of women.
02:59We all have different body types.
03:01So some people are naturally big boned.
03:03Some other people are petite.
03:05They're very small.
03:07And so judging somebody based on their, you know, their body type isn't realistic.
03:14Because I can be healthy, but I will be big boned or curvy.
03:17And that's just the way my body is.
03:32So, yeah.
