"Appalling", "unacceptable", and "hooliganism"... these were some of the words used by British MPs in Parliament while discussing the recent pro-Khalistan protests.

00:00We are harbouring Khalistani terrorists in this country right now.
00:04This is the sixth time in as many years that the High Commission has been attacked in a similar way.
00:30The right honourable lady will be aware of a protest that took place outside the Indian High Commission last Sunday,
00:42which turned violent and staff working for the High Commission were injured there and the commission itself was vandalised.
00:50Now I'm sure the whole house will agree that there should be no place in our country for such behaviour
00:56and that the Indian High Commissioner and his staff should be able to go about their diplomatic duties without fear of such events happening.
01:04So can she tell the House what further steps the Home Office will take working with the Metropolitan Police to ensure that there is no repeat of such behaviour?
01:14I thank the honourable gentleman for mentioning this appalling incident.
01:20We strongly condemn the vandalism and violent acts that took place outside the Indian High Commission in London.
01:28This was a completely unacceptable action against the mission and its staff.
01:36There is work going on with the Metropolitan Police to review the protection measures around the High Commission
01:47and of course any changes will be made to ensure the safety and security of their staff so they can go about their business serving this country and India as well.
01:58The hooliganism that took place outside the Indian High Commission on Sunday by Khalistani hooligans was an absolute disgrace to this country.
02:10This is the sixth time in as many years that the High Commission has been attacked in a similar way.
02:16As my constituency neighbour pointed out, security guards were injured and the tricolour was attempted to be removed and windows were smashed.
02:25Now the clear position here is that Khalistani militants were operating across the world. Canada, the United States and Australia had similar attacks over the weekend.
02:35So we are harbouring Khalistani terrorists in this country right now.
02:40Can we have a debate in Government time on what action we can take to ensure these terrorists are held to account and banned in this country?
02:48I thank my Honourable Friend for adding his voice to others who have condemned this action.
02:55We take the security of the Indian High Commission extremely seriously and we have also been in close contact with the Government of India on this issue.
03:05He will know that it will be for the police and the Crown Prosecution Service to determine whether action is needed and action involving warrants and criminal proceedings.
03:17I am not able to comment further on that.
