00:00My name's Jess. I'm 18 years old. I'm from Wolverhampton. I'm currently studying Level 3 Health and Social Care at College and I'm also a volunteer at the People's Hospital.
00:12With Black Friday, I don't know that much about it. It's mostly a thing that happens over in America, that's what I see. There's not many advertisements for it a lot of the time.
00:20You just see signs in the window going, so and so much help, 70% help, and stuff like that.
00:25Honestly, I think I'll keep Black Friday as a thing because it introduces more people into the town and the small businesses around here.
00:32All the struggling that it is with the cost of living, this helps it a bit more.
00:36I'll shop online as well, but I'll try and get into town as much as possible because of the small businesses of support around here.
00:44So there's a few public spa things, stuff like that, that I like to go to.
00:47It can be a bit of a pressure because you're seeing, oh, sell this much, sell that much.
00:51People who are struggling with money, they might say, oh, I need this for my child at Christmas because no one else happens to have it.
00:58And it's a bit more of that peer pressure kind of thing almost with, oh, well, if this child has it and my child wants to fit in, so they have to have it as well.
01:05And a bit of a pressure on the actual workers in the shop because it gets so, so busy.
01:09And it can deter people from the actual shops sometimes as well because they have to go shopping.
01:13My name is John Holt. I'm from originally Nottingham.
01:18Black Friday, I think it's just another marketing gimmick.
01:21It's not really worth it.
01:24And there's not such a thing as Black Friday.
01:27They've introduced it into a black week now.
01:30It started last weekend and it's not finishing until December.
01:34My name is Faisal Azizi. I'm carried from Iran.
01:38I'm 36 years old.
01:41I think Black Friday is a good opportunity for families and individuals to get what they need and what they plan to buy through the different offers from either the online shops or the physical.
02:05So, I think everyone, when they are going through, going toward the celebration season, it's a good time to get what you need and what you want to, like a gift or present or something.
02:25My name is Joyce. I was born around 1997.
02:30My name is Joyce Cunningham. I'm 84 and I'm from Yorkshire.
02:34The thing is now we're retired and we can go around.
02:38I think it's alright for young people and people who are working and trying to purchase something and get a bit more money off it.
02:45Then that's fine but other than that, I'm not really sure to be honest.
