00:00There's so many people that, like, when I tell them that I have dentures, they're like,
00:04are you serious? I thought you just had really nice teeth. I was like, oh, thank you.
00:08That means a lot. But no, these are fake.
00:19I struggled with dental health problems my whole life. Regardless, if I brushed my teeth three
00:25times a day, flossed, used the best kind of mouthwash, dentures gave me the opportunity
00:32to take my health back. To all my new followers, I would like to do a get to know me while I put
00:37my teeth in. My first dental surgery, I was four. I suffered from an enamel deficiency. I had caps,
00:51spacers, braces, fluoride treatment, abscesses everywhere. My grandma, she lost her teeth at 21
01:00as well. And she's had her dentures since she was 21. So for me, it's about that genetic. I was a
01:08person that was brushing my teeth three times a day with $28 toothpaste. And that $28 toothpaste
01:17was not working. I had 32 teeth pulled at once and four wisdom teeth. These are my final set and
01:38they fit amazing and I can eat anything except for Laffy Taffy. My son was about like one,
01:45one and a half when I had them pulled and it was the worst pain I ever had in my life. But
01:53I don't regret it. It really helped with something that was hurting inside that I didn't like about
02:00myself. Some of my family members did not root for the idea because they didn't feel like I was
02:21old enough to get dentures and see that's still part of that stigma we're trying to break.
02:38The struggle of being toothless and eating so spicy and your gums being on fire afterwards.
02:44A year ago, I did not even have my TikTok. I was scared to even talk on video. Damn,
02:50it really would be natural selection, wouldn't it? Can't see, can't eat. Why is it so expensive
03:01to see and to eat? It's like a big giant like family community. Like all of us. I know I've
03:10helped a few people and that really warms my heart because I know people on denture talk
03:17really helped me. A lot of people think dentures are dirty but they aren't. It's just like regular
03:25teeth just not attached to your head. It's that time of the day. Let's put my teeth in together.
03:31Here is fix-it-plus-scope adhesive on my lower denture. The adhesive as well will be on my top
03:37dentures. Thanks for watching. I myself want to break this denture stigma. I'm almost on
03:44two years almost of having them. I still don't regret it.
