00:04As you know, I've always been an open book and I wasn't ready to say anything before.
00:16But I'm ready now.
00:23I've been dealing with problems with my health for a long time.
00:30And it's been really difficult for me to face these challenges
00:34and to talk about everything that I've been going through.
00:45Recently, I've been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called the stiff
00:53person syndrome, which affects something like one in a million people.
01:04While we're still learning about this rare condition,
01:11we now know this is what's been causing all of the spasms that I've been having.
01:23Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life,
01:31sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use
01:42my vocal cords to sing the way I'm used to.
01:46To sing the way I'm used to.
01:56It hurts me to tell you today that this means
02:06I won't be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February.
02:11I have a great team of doctors working alongside me to help me get better.
02:18And my precious children, who are supporting me and giving me hope.
02:28I'm working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength.
02:37And my ability to perform again.
02:43But I have to admit, it's been a struggle.
02:52All I know is singing.
02:59It's what I've done all my life.
03:02And it's what I love to do the most.
03:12I miss you so much.
03:16I miss seeing all of you being on the stage,
03:22performing for you,
03:26and being able to sing.
03:32I always give 100% when I do my shows.
03:37But my condition is not allowing me to give you that right now.
03:45For me to reach you again, I have no choice but to concentrate on my health at this moment.
03:54And I have hope that I'm on the road to recovery.
