00:00Speaker Nancy Pelosi has arrived in Taiwan, despite China's threats of retaliation for the trip.

00:26A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said that the visit would be seen as

00:31gross interference in China's international affairs

00:34and would lead to a very serious situation and grave consequences.

00:38And China issued a statement saying that their military

00:42won't sit by idly should Pelosi decide to visit.

00:45And even top U.S. military officials warned against the visit.

00:49Pelosi, who has long supported pro-democracy movements throughout China,

00:53landed on Tuesday and has plans to meet

00:55with Taiwan's presidential office and parliament while in town.
