In celebration of Star Wars Day, Carrie Fisher received a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

00:04The late Star Wars actress, who died in 2016, joins co-stars Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill

00:11Hamill has long advocated for her to receive a Walk of Fame star, saying on Instagram that
00:15it is long overdue and so well deserved.
00:17Fisher's daughter, Billie Lord, accepted the star and ahead of the ceremony, issued
00:21a statement saying she excluded Fisher's siblings from the event.
00:24Quote, Days after my mom died, her brother and her sister chose to process their grief
00:28publicly and capitalize on my mother's death by doing multiple interviews and selling
00:32individual books for a lot of money, reads Lord's statement.
00:35Though I recognize they have every right to do whatever they choose, their actions were
00:38very hurtful to me at the most difficult time in my life.
00:41I chose to and still choose to deal with her loss in a much different way.
00:44Fisher becomes the 2,754th recipient of a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
