00:09Rocky have kept details of their first child largely private, including his name. However,

00:13the Daily Mail obtained an exclusive copy of the child's birth certificate and published it online.

00:18People quickly took to the internet to express their disapproval, calling it weird and gross

00:22and an invasion of privacy for the family. While most California birth records are public

00:27information, access to the literal birth certificates is restricted. Since they are

00:30not considered public records, birth certificates can typically only be ordered by the person named,

00:35legal spouses, siblings, parents, or legal representatives. It's unclear how exactly the

00:39certificate was discovered, but people who attempt to access birth certificates under false pretenses

00:44can be charged with perjury. This isn't the first time the child's privacy has been compromised.

00:49In December, Rihanna shared a first look at her son to get ahead of paparazzi who allegedly took

00:53photos of the child without their consent and threatened to release them.
