00:03State contractors in Arizona are using these shipping containers to fill in gaps along
00:06the wall.
00:07They are filling three gaps totaling 3,000 feet and topping the shipping containers with
00:10barbed wire.
00:12The Biden administration approved the completion of the border wall in this area back in July,
00:16but state officials say the promise has gone unfulfilled.
00:18In response, Governor Doug Ducey issued an executive order to use state resources instead
00:23of federal and cited the Biden administration's lack of urgency on the matter.
00:27The makeshift construction comes after the end of the Remain in Mexico program, which
00:31required asylum seekers to return to Mexico while they waited for a court date.
00:35Local resources report being overwhelmed with migrants.
00:38Over the last three months, Arizona and other states have been sending buses of asylum seekers
00:42to Washington, D.C. and New York City.
