00:00Hi Leo! Hi Leo, we're live en route.
00:03What does that represent for you to be here in Cannes with this particular movie?
00:07Well, it means a lot.
00:09You know, we made this film with great respect to the Osage Nation and trying to tell their story.
00:15It's been a hundred years since the Osage reign of terror.
00:19And this film was... it took a lot of thought.
00:24And we were very careful in trying to listen to the Osage people
00:28and trying to tell the correct story as best we possibly could,
00:33almost from a forensic perspective.
00:35We optioned the book Killers of the Flower Moon
00:38and, you know, we developed these characters
00:41and we got into the heart of what we felt was the truth.
00:44So to be here to tell this story in front of this type of audience
00:49at the world's biggest film festival, I think is a great honor for us.
00:54And how was it to be on set with De Niro and Scorsese?
00:58As always, working with Mr. Scorsese is a very humbling and unique experience.
01:06I did my first film with Robert De Niro,
01:09so it's been almost 30 years since we've been able to work together again.
01:16So to me it was a magical moment that I'll never forget,
01:20and especially to tell this story.
01:22Thank you so much, Leonardo. Thank you.
