00:00Lana Del Rey is asking fans not to listen to leaked music after losing some of her personal
00:05items in a recent smash and grab. The singer-songwriter shared a series of now-deleted
00:10videos on her private Instagram account explaining the situation. After momentarily leaving her car
00:16on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, all four windows were broken and a backpack containing her laptop,
00:21three camcorders, and multiple hard drives was stolen. Included in these items was her
00:26in-progress Night Studio album and a 200-page draft of a book she was writing for publishers
00:32Simon & Schuster. She explained that she did not have any of her work backed up to the cloud and
00:36was forced to remotely wipe her computer. However, she shared that the thief could still be able to
00:41remotely access her phone and leak unreleased songs and personal photos. Del Rey urged fans
00:46not to download the leaked songs, many of which are unfinished. Nonetheless,
00:50she said she still has plans to share her upcoming album in the near future.
