00:08timeline of how she reacted because she believes there should have been more urgency when she
00:13reached out to police. Averianna Patton, a former teammate of the shooter, shared the
00:17following messages with News Channel 5. After receiving them, Patton called the
00:22Suicide Prevention Helpline at 10.08 a.m. She then called the Nashville-Davidson County
00:28Sheriff's Office at 10.13 a.m., the exact same time police received a call of an active shooter
00:33at the school. They instructed Patton to call the non-emergency number, which she did at 10.14 a.m.,
00:39and was put on hold for seven minutes. After answering, they said they would send an officer
00:43to her home. That officer arrived at 3.29 p.m. Police engaged the shooter at the school at 10.27
00:50a.m., 14 minutes after the first call. They later recovered writings by the shooter that showed the
00:54attack was planned.
