After being accused of sexual misconduct by two women, YouTube star Andrew Callaghan responds to the allegations. He apologizes.

00:00YouTuber and independent filmmaker Andrew Callahan has issued an apology following allegations of
00:05sexual misconduct. He posted a four-minute video to YouTube in response to two women accusing him
00:10of sexual coercion and sexual assault. To be honest with you, up until this point,
00:14I didn't even really realize that I had this pattern that had affected multiple people.
00:18Callahan addressed the topics of power dynamics, pressure, and coercion,
00:22explaining that he was behaving in a way that he believed was normal. He also said there's
00:26important context that is missing from the allegations but pledges to do serious work.
00:30Earlier this month, one woman alleged that Callahan had stayed at her house and
00:33wore her down with requests to have sex. Another woman came forward a few days later,
00:37alleging that Callahan engaged in non-consensual touching and also pressured her into having sex.
00:42Callahan, who gained prominence for his Man on the Street interviews and the HBO documentary
00:46This Place Rules, said he will begin therapy sessions, a 12-step program for Alcoholics
00:51Anonymous, and take a serious step back from public life.
