Twenty elderly couples, averaging 70 years old, reaffirm and cement their love at a special mass wedding ceremony in Hong Kong organised by the NGO Volunteer Space. The event took place on Senior Citizens Day, on the 17th November, and seeks to highlight the importance of love for mental well-being among older adults.

00:20Love is a very happy thing.
00:23I don't think I can live without it.
00:30I'm so happy.
00:43I'm so excited.

00:58Master.
01:01Master is here.
01:02Don't shout.
01:03I think what Hong Kong needs the most now is positive energy.
01:07Because after the pandemic,
01:09and the economic situation is not good,
01:15I need more positive energy.
01:18And I need more happiness.
01:20If one person is happy,
01:21another person will be happy.
01:23Then everyone will be happy.
01:25Just like now.
01:271, 2, 3.
01:30Happy New Year.
01:34Happy New Year.
01:35Happy New Year.
01:36Happy New Year.
01:38The happiness is very sweet.
01:40I'm waiting for them to be happy.
01:44I think in this hard-working society,
01:46the meaning of the birthday party is to connect with the elders.
01:52To connect with other people,
01:53including volunteers.
01:54Just like when we go on a road trip,
01:56they can bring blessings to the audience on the road.
02:00So I think this will bring them a great blessing in life.
