01:26He won the Junior Calypso Monarch singing the letter in 1984.

01:42The following year, he released his debut album, Too Young to Soca, instantly shooting him to stardom.
01:56In 1991, at the age of 16, he won the Young King Monarch, performing Take Me Back to Africa.
