00:00Good morning, I'm Amy Simons, I work for Penzance Council and I'm the Operations Officer.
00:05With my team, we bring the Christmas tree to Penzance.
00:08So our Christmas tree this year is a Cornish tree, which came from Santa Trees in Liscard.
00:13We have some lovely local companies who help us deliver it into town, which is Andrew Newport.
00:19They come in every year to help us put the tree up.
00:22We also use Robin from High Maintenance, he helps us to get the tree up and also puts the lights on the tree.
00:29This year our tree is 25 foot.
00:31We haven't put the lights up as you can see today because we've got a storm berth coming in this weekend.
00:37We're going to let the tree settle in.
00:39We may have to come back on Monday morning to re-straighten it after the really high winds
00:43and then later on next week we'll put the Christmas lights up already on Saturday 30th for the light switch on.
00:50I hope to see lots of people coming round to see the tree and hope everyone likes it.
