00:00Hanging out at MAMA Awards with K-pop legend, JY Park!
00:03Great to be here man, great to be here.
00:05We kind of, our clothes are matching, you know?
00:06Listen, it's kind of coordinated a little bit.
00:08Yeah, pink and sky blue, yeah, it goes well.
00:09Look at us!
00:10I gotta start talking to you about Stray Kids first, man.
00:13Creating them, what an amazing group,
00:15and why do you feel like they're so successful here, Western?
00:18I mean, of course, having a few members
00:22who can comfortably speak English really helps,
00:24even though it's an Australian accent,
00:26but I think that helps.
00:28But it's their ingenuity.
00:32They're not like any other artist.
00:35They do their own thing.
00:36So this is the entertainment capital of the world,
00:40and unless you have something special, unique,
00:44they will not pay attention.
00:46But especially the three kids,
00:49they call themselves Three Racha,
00:52those three kids are just brilliant.
00:54They're just brilliant minds.
00:56They come up with things that are so unique
01:00that truly reflects who they are,
01:02and that's what is appreciated from the American public.
01:08And you talk about the entertainment capital of the world twice.
01:10They sold out SoFi Stadium.
01:12That was wild.
01:13So how has it been to watch their journey?
01:16I mean, think about it.
01:17It's their 10th year as a group.
01:20How many teams can stay together and care for each other
01:25and truly love each other for 10 years?
01:26I mean, that itself is amazing,
01:28and that was the driving force between their success
01:32and continue of their success.
01:38It's their teamwork.
01:39It's their camaraderie.
01:40They truly care for each other.
01:41I never saw a team that truly cares for each other this long,
01:47and I think the fans recognize that also.
01:51It's a beautiful thing.
01:52How do you feel about Lia coming back to ITZY?
01:55I mean, that's how ITZY should look like, you know?
02:00That's great, man.
02:01And of course, you've been a K-pop idol yourself,
02:03so how does that help you with shaping these other idols?
02:07I mean, I think still being on stage,
02:14I could relate to the artists more
02:15and sit down and grab a wine and talk to them
02:19and understand what they're going through
02:22and help them as a company
02:24or at the same time give them advice as a former artist.
02:29I mean, an elder artist.
02:31Yeah, there you go.
02:32So I think me being on stage
02:38enables us to talk more freely and connect better.
02:42Oh, yeah, man.
02:44Well, I'm sure I could grab a wine and talk to you forever,
02:46but you got stuff to do,
02:46so I'm gonna let you go enjoy the moments.
02:48Thanks so much.
02:48Appreciate it.
02:49Of course.
