Transcript
00:00I chose the youngest head coach to win a title since the great Bill Russell.
00:04I told him I used to be the youngest, now I'm the oldest.
00:09I like being the youngest better.
00:10Together, you guys built one of the deepest teams of all time.
00:17Incredible players led by Jason and Jalen and Derek and Drew.
00:22Big Al.
00:23I didn't realize that in 1963, President John F. Kennedy welcomed the Boston Celtics
00:32as the first NBA champions to visit the White House ever.
00:36First time.
00:37It's part of that wonderful tradition, celebrating the power of sports to bring people together.
00:42It's a tradition that I've had the honor to continue.
00:48No matter the sport, what these champions all have in common are core values, and I
00:54mean this sincerely, hard work, teamwork, respect, the knowledge that no one of us is
01:02ever as good as all of us can be when we're together.
01:10And I'd now like to introduce two of our great Celtics champions, Jason Tatum and Derek White,
01:16to present you with some gifts for the team.
01:18Thank you very much, sir.
