Massive overnight attacks on Gaza raise death toll to over 44,000

Israeli air strikes on northern and central Gaza killed at least 88 people on Wednesday night.

00:00Northern and central Gaza saw a wave of massive Israeli attacks on Wednesday night, continuing

00:11At least 66 people were killed and over a hundred injured in Beit Lahiya in the north,

00:16and another 22 were killed in a northern neighborhood of Gaza City.

00:22Northern Gaza has been under siege by the Israeli military since early October, with

00:26the UN warning on Tuesday that no aid has been able to enter for 40 days.

00:32According to Gaza's health ministry, the total death toll since October last year has now

00:37exceeded 44,000.

00:41At the same time, the Israeli military said it killed three militants in the West Bank

00:46city of Jenin during a raid on Tuesday.

00:49Mourners were seen on the streets on Thursday as they held a funeral.

00:55Israeli forces also attacked cities across Lebanon, including Tyre and the country's

01:02Meanwhile, an Israeli man was killed by shrapnel following a rocket strike from Lebanon into
