00:00Hey, this is Sarah from Los Bichos and this is My Guitars and Me.
00:16I was always kind of interested in songwriting. I'd like to focus on rhythmic playing quite a lot,
00:21even in lead. I mean, I'm still very much, you know, I'm still learning,
00:26wanting to absorb different types of playing and stuff.
00:30So this was the first guitar. It's a lag guitar. I don't see much of these out in the wild. I'd
00:36seen this guitar and I was like, man, that's like Courtney love vibes. I love hole. I love grunge.
00:44So I was just like, I just like the look of that guitar. Honestly, the more and more that I've
00:49gotten to know this guitar, the more fantastic I think it is. One of my favorite things. I mean,
00:54I don't know if this is, sorry, as you can see, it's gone through the mill a little bit, but it's
00:59that. There's that really wonderful tone. It's like a mix of these two, I believe. Oh, it's just
01:14so like, it's so like high life. It's so, I can't even, it's like, I want to eat the sound
01:23and it just carries pedals so well.
01:29Hello. Yeah. Yeah. To be honest, I don't even know where those things happen. To be honest,
01:34I don't even, I mean, even coming here today, I was like, who's touching it. Um, yeah, it's
01:41definitely not my work horse for me. It's about feel. And of course the meaning behind, you know,
01:48the meaning behind something like this was my, this was my first guitar. It wasn't
01:53borrowing it from someone and it's, yeah, it traveled with me all the way from Australia.
01:59So this is an Italia, a Speedster, Maranello Speedster. Not going to lie. The stripes got me.
02:21We went into this random, our bass player wanted to go into some guitar shop and I was like,
02:25okay, fine. And then it was pretty similar. Like love at first sight. I was like, Oh, stripes.
02:31Sweet. So yeah, I bought this back and I love, this is the, I love the simplicity of this guitar.
02:39I think a lot of it has to do with the wider neck as well with me and my playing. I know,
02:46and I'm cool with that, that I can maybe go like, instead of whatever, that's just me.
02:54That's how I'm playing. And that's like, I'm jumping around. I'm playing live. I'm having a
02:58good time, but I don't, that's cool with me. And I think because I've got that wide neck, I've got
03:04that little bit of leniency to maybe, you know, not hit something as accurately. And it just feels
03:10good. It's the fullness of sound. It's how it cuts through because when we're playing live,
03:16we are really going for it. The first thing that drew me to this guitar was its design. This is
03:23what feels so good for me on stage. I love this guitar and it's just easy.
03:31So yeah, my chorus pedal is on all the time. It's that tone that I love. Be a small point
03:38of contention depending on who we're working with. Cause they're like, could we just like,
03:42maybe just turn the chorus down? And I'm like, do we have to? It's not going to be the right sound.
03:50And then I'll just be like, no.
03:57Thanks a lot for watching. We are going to be on tour
04:00in the UK and the EU and go listen to our new album, Talky Talky.
