Northern Gaza ‘Bloodshed’: IDF Reservist Killed, Officer Wounded, Netanyahu Visits War Zone

Amid escalating violence in northern Gaza, Sgt. First Class (res.) Roi Sasson, 21, of the Kfir Brigade’s Nahshon Battalion, was killed during a clash with gunmen in Beit Lahiya. The battalion's commander, Lt. Col. Yoel Glickman, sustained serious injuries in the same encounter.

Sasson's death brings the total Israeli toll—including soldiers, police, and security officers—since the October 7, 2023, Hamas assault to 800. The ongoing IDF ground offensive has intensified, with over 1,300 Hamas operatives killed and more than 1,000 detained in northern Gaza.
