00:00Ever since we've had a big influx of new housing built up around the Drakes, Broughton and
00:08Pershall area, we're all for new housing, you know, young families getting on the ladder,
00:12property ladder, but it's come to a point now where the amount of new builds that are
00:17just popping up everywhere, houses there, houses, getting easy, you know, just being
00:21agreed instantly without having a proper talk about it and approaching us locals, it's starting
00:26to have an effect now because basically since they've been building them, we've suffered
00:30nothing but drainage problems, floods, we've had human waste running down the road, we've
00:35had blocked drains, we've had human waste running under these two bungalows here, which
00:39I dug trial holes and I actually had my hands in it thinking it was stagnant water. When
00:44Seven Trent tested it, it came out to be pure human waste, which is not a nice story to
00:48know. Seven Trent then came out and then they dug this hole, they were here for three days,
00:55about five, six foot deep to locate a leak in the pipe here, because originally there
01:00used to be a water stream running straight down the centre of the road. Since they've
01:04been, they said they never discovered a leak, they couldn't find a leak, but since they've
01:09dug that hole and refilled it, we've got a big stream of constant water there and a big
01:14stream of constant water there, so it's literally doubled the leak and dispersed it two different
01:18ways. Down the other side of the road where I live is basically it's constant stagnant
01:23water running down the hill. In the hottest of summer, when it's bone dry, it's still
01:28soaking down the road and it must be washing away the soil somewhere underneath, you know,
01:33over time. So basically this is the problem and it's all due to crap drainage put on these
01:38new builds, they're just allowing the houses to go up, but they're not allowing for the
01:42drainage. Now everyone's complained, we've had, we've had meetings at the village all
01:46about it, drainage problems, drainage problems, but money talks and if you can get them houses
01:52up quick, take the money and go, but it's not being looked into proper, there's big
01:57drainage problems in this village.
