00:00Sunday night game started out, didn't look like it was gonna be a good one, right?
00:07You had Cincinnati build a 24 to 6 lead at half, 27 to 6 very early in the third quarter
00:14and maybe it was gonna be shut the lights.
00:16Let's go to bed early after a long day.
00:18But no, no, no, Cam, hopefully you stuck around because the Bengals came surging back.
00:24Jamar Chase with a touchdown, long pass to Tee Higgins, touchdown Chase again.
00:29So three tutties for Joe Burrow in about a nine minute span.
00:33And suddenly you had a 27 all football game, but Bengals really, Cam, again, we talked
00:39about kicker.
00:40We've talked about a bunch of kickers already in the first half an hour of the show.
00:44This McPherson on the Bengals had not one, but two chances to give the Bengals a lead
00:49when the game was tied at 27, he missed them both.
00:53That gave the Chargers the opportunity that they needed.
00:56Maybe didn't need to take this all the way to the house.
00:59Probably could have went down and ran it out for a field goal, but we just said, why
01:03trust kickers?
01:04J.K.
01:05Dobbins said, I'll just do it myself on NBC.
01:06A fullback in front of J.K.
01:07Dobbins.
01:08Runs left.
01:09Dobbins takes off.
01:10Dobbins inside the 10.
01:11Dobbins to the end zone.
01:12In for the touchdown.
01:13And the Chargers take the lead.
01:23Great win for the Chargers, who are now at 7-3.
01:28As they get ready a week from tonight, the big Harbaugh Bowl out in Los Angeles, which
01:35will have the Ravens and the Chargers getting together, which is now a huge game with the
01:39Chargers 7-3, Ravens 7-4.
01:42Very good Monday night game next week.
01:43But it's 7-3 now, Cam.
01:45We talk about the Bills.
01:47We talk about the Chiefs.
01:48We talk about the Steelers and the Ravens.
01:51Those have been kind of the big four in the AFC really through the first 11 weeks here
01:57of this season.
01:58Do we have to add the Chargers into the mix now as being right there with these other
02:04teams?
02:05You're damn right we do.
02:06And I'll tell you something, on December 8th, they play the Kansas City Chiefs.
02:12And I've watched this team back in the day with Keenan Allen, all these guys screw it
02:16up every time.
02:17I'll tell you, if Staley was still coaching the Chargers, they probably wouldn't even
02:20have won that game.
02:21I got no problem with Dobbins, Carver, because it was under 20 seconds.
02:25He has to do what he does.
02:26Even though Cam Dicker's probably, like for a young kicker, one of the better ones in
02:29the league.
02:30The Chargers do a lot of good things.
02:32Their defense was a little bit lax, but that was also Joe Burrow making great plays.
02:35Let's give this team respect.
02:37They got a good defense and Herbert's figuring it out.
02:39He's got a lot more confidence.
02:41Ladd-McConkie's awesome.
02:42Come on, Carver.
02:44We can't sleep on the Chargers.
02:45They're a very good football team right now.
02:47They seem to be getting better every week.
02:51They are still being booked as the sixth choice to win the AFC at 13-1.
02:57Now, look, here's one thing I'll say about this, Cam.
03:03Do I think that they could beat any of these teams in a said playoff game, whether Kansas
03:09City, Buffalo, Baltimore, Pittsburgh?
03:12The problem is, Cam, would they be able to beat three of them to win the AFC?
03:16Because that's probably what they would have to do.
03:20Depending what their seed is going to be, which is probably going to be a five, maybe
03:24in that area, they'd have to beat probably three of those top four teams.
03:29That might be a little bit too much to ask for.
03:32That might be where I hesitate a little bit.
03:36It might be, but I'll tell you one thing.
03:37They got a mean defensive line.
03:39Derwin James is making plays.
03:41They're well-coached.
03:42They have good special teams now with a good kicker.
03:45The Chargers are a team you don't want to deal with.
03:47For many years, I still think there's a narrative that they can't do it because they've always
03:51gagged in big games before.
03:52They had a stat that flashed up.
03:55They were 10 straight losses in games of three or less at that time before Dobbins finished
03:59them off.
04:01That's huge, Carver.
04:02That's huge to me.
04:03Shake off the negative mojo.
04:05You're a new team, new players, younger guys.
04:09All your old staff from those days of gagging are gone.
04:12You got a new batch of young guys, and they're doing great, and Harbaugh's doing a great
04:15job in coaching this team.
04:17Amazing.
