00:03It used data gathered from social media to track the private jets of public figures.
00:08Now our Reddit group has taken over the mantle,
00:10and is posting data about Elon Musk's whereabouts every time he flies.
00:14And according to the group, he's taken 10 flights in just three days.
00:18Musk's private jet has been spotted landing in Texas, Florida, and New York
00:22in the days immediately following Trump's election win.
00:26Musk has long threatened to sue Jack Sweeney,
00:28the university student who first began tracking the private jets of billionaires,
00:32with many agreeing that private citizens like Musk should have a modicum of privacy.
00:36However, now that Musk is set to be appointed the head of the
00:39soon-to-be-minted Department of Government Efficiency,
00:41those sentiments seem to have changed,
00:43with the overwhelming majority of those who follow the Musk tracking account
00:46outlining that as a politician, he is no longer a private citizen.
00:51Musk's companies hold myriad government contracts totaling billions,
00:54which is why his being ushered into the White House by Donald Trump
00:58is being condemned as a massive conflict of interest by many.
