00:00Something that I have been thinking for quite a long time, you know, some on and offs during
00:24the season, but I tried always to give me one more chance.
00:30But yeah, it's something that I decided with time, so I am enjoying the week.
00:36I am not able to enjoy my daily basis the way that I need to be competitive at the highest
00:44level, no?
00:45So at the end of the day, I'll relate to the question of myself, it's about, okay, I can
00:52hold for one more year, but why?
00:54I mean, to say goodbye in every single tournament, I mean, I don't have that ego to need that.
01:00If I am on court, hopefully not, no?
01:03Because at the end, I am not here for retiring, I am here to try to help the team.
01:09Then it's of course going to be my last week on the professional tour, but at the end,
01:15we are here in a team's competition.
01:17So the most important thing here is try to help the team.
01:23I am not worried about the next chapter in my life.
01:27I have been always happy without tennis, and I had a lot of moments in my life that I was
01:34not able to play tennis because of the injuries, so I spent a lot of months doing other things.
01:39It's true that during recovery, so now it's a different approach.
01:44But at the same time, always accept the challenge of an important change.
01:51At the end of the day, it's about the adrenaline that you feel before, at the end, and during
01:57the match.
01:58That's something that in life, you have, I'm probably going to have things that are going
02:05to make me happier, or give me different and more important feelings.
02:12But this kind of feeling, adrenaline, it's difficult to find outside of the professional
02:19sport, I think.
02:20Today, at the head of all of us, the most important thing is the Davis Cup.
02:26Then, when it has to be the farewell, it will be done, and obviously an era ends for me.
02:36There is no ideal farewell.
02:38The end of a movie is usually for American movies, and I realized a long time ago that
02:43I wouldn't have one of these, so it's not something that worries me in that sense.
02:51My farewell is going to be the one that it's going to be, and in that sense, it would be fantastic
02:56to have the team all very competitive and trying to win another Davis Cup.
