Rising Tide organiser Zack Schofield talks about plans to relocate the harbour blockade headquarters to Foreshore Park.
Transcript
00:00Zach, it looks like the activities that were going to happen in Camp Shortland are now
00:06moving across the road to Foreshore Park, how did this come about?
00:10So we received a threat from Transport for New South Wales basically saying that they
00:14were going to charge us with trespass if we touched part of that car park in part of Camp
00:19Shortland that's apparently under their custodianship.
00:22So we've arranged a new situation, we've moved over to Council land here in Foreshore Park.
00:28But what it's done is it's cost us thousands upon thousands of dollars, you know we're
00:32not able to set up marquees that we had paid for and were contracted to provide and that
00:37means that the quality of our event is going to be somewhat reduced and that's a real
00:42shame.
00:43There appears to be plenty of space here, are you confident that there will be enough
00:48room to accommodate everybody?
00:50Yeah absolutely, this is a beautiful space, lots of community events use it, there's a
00:53history of that happening and I don't think we're going to get in anyone's way.
