00:00Storms, cyclones, major climate events we experience every year in Queensland.
00:06In fact, last year with two major cyclones, large storms in the southeast,
00:12bushfires around Tara was probably one of the worst I've seen.
00:16Through those major events, we lost supply to over 300,000 customers.
00:22Our teams did a fantastic job replacing over 200 poles, over 800 cross arms
00:29and in excess of 200 kilometres of conductor was replaced.
00:34What this means is, is that in those major storms, our systems aren't impervious to that
00:42and it's just so important that our customers and community prepare for storm season.
00:48This can be looking at things like your water supply, charging your batteries,
00:53you know, tidying up around your homes, etc.
00:56And there's some great information and checklists on the Ergon and Energex websites.
01:03Now's the time to prepare. Don't leave it or it may be too late.
