00:00Men have been given the chance to rule the world,
00:03but ladies, our revolution has begun.
00:07Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:09And today, we're counting down our picks
00:11for the most show-stopping performances in Billboard's
00:14award show history.
00:15But I mean to that, I'm good to go.
00:17I'm a drama, you know I glow.
00:20Hey, so let's go.
00:23Number 30, Miguel, 20th Billboard Music Awards.
00:27Even the most seemingly embarrassing moments
00:30can go on to become iconic.
00:32In 2013, Miguel was at the top of his career.
00:35He'd just released his sophomore record to critical acclaim
00:39and even hit the top 20 on the singles chart.
00:41I can't wait to see your grin, ooh, ooh, baby.
00:47He was set to commemorate this success with a performance
00:49of his hit, Adorn, at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.
00:53He was on fire from the very beginning,
00:56effortlessly commanding the stage
00:58with his impressive vocals and choreography.
01:00Don't let that affect us nothing.
01:02No, no, you don't gotta let us down.
01:06Even an awkward stunt resulting in him
01:08landing on two spectators couldn't
01:10take him out of his groove.
01:11The subsequent controversy and internet memes
01:14that arose from the moment have ensured
01:16that he and his act will both be remembered
01:18for a long time to come.
01:20La, la, la, la, la, la, ooh, ooh, baby, Adorn.
01:28Number 29, Shania Twain, sixth Billboard Music Awards.
01:33With some musicians, you can pinpoint the exact moment
01:36they were destined to become a star.
01:38Oh, I'll be right there til you do my hair.

02:14While others would have gone all out
02:16in their costumes and dancing,
02:17Twain opted to let her voice take center stage.
02:20Although it was seemingly simple,
02:22the result was a rousing performance

28:38she went all out to put on a show that was happy, free, exciting, and lively at the same time.
28:46She entered the main room on a bicycle, taking time to engage with the crowd as
28:56she made her way to the stage. We then got a colorful and thrilling dance segment,
29:01topped off with a downpour of balloons straight into the audience, giving us real party vibes.
29:16And we love that she did it all in a unicorn t-shirt. Needless to say,
29:20Swift's performances are always refreshing, enjoyable, and full of surprises.
29:324. Bruno Mars, 20th Billboard Music Awards
29:36Bruno and the hooligans became disco to open the show.
29:45Dressed in matching red suits and exhibiting their signature dance moves,
29:50the artists dazzled on stage, and not just because they were surrounded by flashing lights and
29:55endless glitter balls. It was all very jazzy and joyful, giving us major throwback nostalgia.
30:01Audiences could likely picture themselves traveling back in time to the 70s and
30:05grooving out to this song in a club.
30:16It was the perfect choice to kick off the event and got everyone hyped for the night ahead.
30:20Bruno Mars always delivers, but he definitely shines the brightest when he's keeping it old
30:25school. 3. Whitney Houston,
30:354th Billboard Music Awards With her powerhouse vocals,
30:39Houston showed that you don't need anything extravagant or theatrical to put on a showstopper.
30:44She demonstrated her vocal range and unrivaled talent simply by standing in front of the
30:49microphone in a gorgeous dress and singing her heart out. Her elegantly effortless sound packed
31:03a strong punch and left us hanging on her every note. Houston's one-of-a-kind voice never fails
31:09to entrance and amaze, and the song is guaranteed to leave you with chills no matter how many times
31:14you hear it. Moments like this remind us of what a phenomenal singer and performer she was.
31:28There will never be anyone quite like her. 2. Beyoncé,
31:4718th Billboard Music Awards There's nobody quite like Beyoncé
31:52as evidenced by this iconic appearance. It began with a video of her family and multiple famous
32:03faces celebrating the singer's achievements, and with this performance she confirmed everything
32:08that they said and more. It was artistic, dynamic, empowering, and a real visual marvel.
32:15There was a lot to take in, but Bey was in full control of it all.
32:23Whether it was interacting with her impressive backdrop, hitting every move,
32:29or letting her voice's power soar, the amazing performer exuded perfection.
32:33It's practically impossible to compete with Beyoncé's showmanship
32:37as she's in a league of her own. They don't call her Queen B for nothing.
32:411. Celine Dion, 24th Billboard Music Awards
33:10A true icon, Celine gave us one of the most powerful and stirring renditions of
33:14My Heart Will Go On to celebrate its 20th anniversary. She simply stood on stage,
33:20veiled at first by a magnificent chandelier, and poured her heart out with every word.
33:34Having recently experienced loss herself, it felt like she was connecting with the number
33:39like never before, leaving us with chills. The endurance and vitality of her voice were
33:44as spellbinding as ever, especially when she hit the money note.
33:56It was a mesmerizing and beautiful showing that no doubt left audiences blurry-eyed.
34:02Performances like this are why our love for Celine Dion is still alive in our hearts and
34:09minds.
