00:00Hi, I'm Lindsay Lohan, and today we're going behind the looks.
00:03
00:12I do like to be heavily involved in the wardrobe choices for my characters
00:16because I think fashion is so expressive, and when you're playing a character,
00:20it allows people to get to know the person through what they're wearing immediately.
00:24My character's style in Falling for Christmas was different
00:27because she starts out as very high fashion and a bit over the top,
00:32and then something happens to her, and she doesn't have any of her clothing,
00:38doesn't really think about what she's wearing.
00:40She just needs stuff to wear.
00:42So the inspiration was really fun in the beginning,
00:44and then the arc of her, she became less into fashion, I'll say.
00:51I think the funniest story of pieces and looks that I wore for my character
00:57in Falling for Christmas is my pink ski suit, which was the most fun to wear
01:01and also the most convenient because it was pretty cold.
01:04But that was the most extravagant kind of look that we had,
01:08and it was really great just to see it come to life on camera.
01:12In Mean Girls, I think the looks for the other girls were really fun all the time,
01:17and it was kind of the juicy sweatsuit era of all this,
01:20and the miniskirts and shorter is more.
01:22Katie, before she joined the clique of the Mean Girls,
01:27I really wanted to be able to dress like the girls
01:29because they were getting to wear such cute things,
01:31and I was so drab and kind of grunge in a way.
01:34So that was where my head was at in terms of clothing choices.
01:38But I think my favorite look in Mean Girls was my Halloween costume, actually,
01:45just because it was so fun putting that all together,
01:48and it was just such a funny look.
01:50I don't know if I prefer Katie's style when she's influenced by the plastics or not.
01:54I really liked Katie just as herself because she was really relatable and humble.
02:00And then when she gets influenced by the plastics, the looks were fun,
02:04but it changed her in a way, and I wanted to bring her back down a little bit.
02:10So I think I prefer her look in the end the most.
02:12The cultural impact of on Wednesdays We Wear Pink, wow.
02:16It's become such a sort of phenomenon that you can't escape it, really.
02:22But I think it's fantastic.
02:23It's so exciting to have that as kind of a model that we use now.
02:27And I don't know if I do every Wednesday, but whenever I hear it, I think about it.
02:32For Herbie Fully Loaded, I was involved in the looks.
02:35Also, we were dealing with extreme heat conditions in Fontana at the racetrack.
02:40So that was a big part of the fire suit that I had to wear when I was racing in the car.
02:44So, yeah, I was really involved.
02:46I think the funniest memory, clothing-wise, that I had from Herbie Fully Loaded
02:51was, I think, the racetrack suit, just because it was so thick
02:55and such a different thing for me to wear in a film.
02:58It was the first time that I'd had any sort of action role in a movie.
03:03So the fire suit was definitely, I think, the most fun for me and funny.
03:08Ashley Albright's look, and just my look, was really Sex and the City forward.
03:13Sarah Jessica Parker.
03:15And we had a lot of fun dressing Ashley.
03:18Just even the white suit and the Valenciaga dress that she wears at the masquerade ball.
03:23And then the tear-off part of the dress.
03:25We just were really able to play with all of the costuming.
03:28Working alongside Chris Pine was great.
03:30He's such a joy to work with, and he was such a sweetheart.
03:32And we just had a blast doing the movie, because we shot in New Orleans and also in New York.
03:36So we all kind of became a family traveling together.
03:39I haven't really followed his style evolution, so maybe I'll have to check that out.
03:44But I'm sure he's doing good.
03:46My character style in Georgia Rule was, you know, she was going to Georgia,
03:50so we were going to keep it kind of light and fresh and long dresses.
03:53And a little bit, I wouldn't say 50s, but we tried to take her back a little bit.
03:58And then the white button-down collared shirt,
04:00we wanted to just kind of have a take on pretty woman in a way.
04:04I don't know if that makes sense to a lot of people,
04:06but it was just the collar popped up and that whole kind of vibe that we went with.
04:10I don't know if there were any really funny stories behind the costuming for this.
04:13I was a little hesitant to wear one of the outfits when I was in the pajama look,
04:18because I hadn't really played a role where I had to be a little bit provocative,
04:22and that scene was that for me.
04:24So I was a little nervous, you know, to bear less.
04:29I really hope everyone enjoys Falling for Christmas.
04:31I hope that we see a lot of pink ski suits.
04:35And yeah, it's a great film.
04:37We had a great time making it, and I couldn't be happier.
04:40Thank you so much. It's been really fun revisiting my characters.
