00:00The only connection you have with a golf club is in the hands and in the grip, so it needs to be correct.
00:05You need to have the correct grip thickness to suit your golf swing.
00:10We establish the right grip thickness by again measuring, doing a measurement.
00:14So we measure your overall hand length and measure the longest finger.
00:18And then when you're gripping the golf club, what we want to see is that the fingers are just touching the pad of the palm
00:24without digging in too much. If you see that there's a bit of a gap, then the grip's too thick.
00:30If there's no gap and the fingers are really digging into the palm a little bit, then the grip is too thin,
00:36so we want to go thicker.
00:37The result of those things would be that if a grip is way too thin,
00:42your hands can get a little bit too active and you can start hitting a shot with a hook or hitting it left.
00:47If it's way too thick, your hands aren't working correctly and you're not getting the club head squaring up,
00:53and so the ball can stay out to the right.
00:56We do six different grip thicknesses
00:58from something that's quite thin to like a jumbo size.
