जमुई, बिहार: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने बिहार के जमुई में जनजातीय गौरव दिवस कार्यक्रम में हिस्सा लिया । इस दौरान उन्होंने जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए कहा, "पिछली सरकारों के रवैये के कारण आदिवासी समुदाय दशकों तक बुनियादी सुविधाओं से वंचित रहा। देश के कई आदिवासी बहुल जिले विकास के मामले में पिछड़ गए। अगर किसी अधिकारी को सजा देनी होती थी, तो उसकी सजा पोस्टिंग ऐसे ही सुदूर इलाकों में होती थी। एनडीए सरकार ने पुरानी सरकार की सोच को बदला है। हमने इन जिलों को आकांक्षी जिले घोषित किया और वहां नए, ऊर्जावान अधिकारियों को भेजा। इसका बहुत बड़ा लगा मेरे आदिवासी भाई बहनों को हुआ। आदिवासी समुदाय का कल्याण हमेशा से एनडीए सरकार की प्राथमिकता रही है। अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी के नेतृत्व वाली एनडीए सरकार ने ही आदिवासी कल्याण के लिए अलग मंत्रालय की स्थापना की थी।"
