00:00Hi there, I'm Adrian McLaughlin. I'm one of the owners of the Harbourview Hotel.
00:06Come on in and have a look around and we'll tell you what we do.
00:21So we have in the hotel lobby now what our interior designers' plans are for the changes.
00:27That's to inform our customers, old and new, and get them excited for what's about to come.
00:35Which we're hoping we can launch fully in March 2025.
00:40So this is what was the Churchill Lounge. Here it is, the man himself used to own the hotel.
01:00I'm very proud of that fact and we're going to retain that historic fact and let our customers know about it.
01:06The hotel right now has closed for normal operations. We're currently stripping out all the bedrooms and all the ground floor.
01:15We've launched today our traditional Sunday lunch which has gone down really well and we're hoping that keeps our customers coming and going throughout the winter while the rest of the refurbishment happens.
01:28Some of the key features of what we're doing, we're completely refurbishing the 35 bedrooms.
01:33The function suite will be refurbished and freshened up and then we'll have a pretty much contemporary Irish feel to the rest of the ground floor.
01:43And what's really nice is we're retaining as much of the furniture and character and charm as we could.
01:48So we've got 120 chairs being sent for reupholstery.
01:52We're uncovering beautiful terrazzo floors that we're repolishing and putting back to their glory days and glory uses.
02:00And so with the layout not being changed, with the ability for us to reclaim and show off some of the old features, plus adding in a bit of modern design, I think the blend of what we're doing is going to be perfect and it will stand the hotel in good stead for the next 10 or 15 years, all being well.
