00:00As a club, Newcastle United have a proud history of players representing England, most notably
00:06Alan Shearer as captain.
00:07However, until the Saudi-backed takeover, the two have had few England call-ups.
00:12Under Eddie Howe, the likes of Callum Wilson, Nick Pope and Kieran Trippier have been regulars
00:16in the England set-up, but now a new breed of young talent from Newcastle United is making
00:22waves at the FA.
00:24The question is, how has Eddie Howe turned three young players into international footballers?
00:31The most notable is Anthony Gordon, who after his first cap, reflected on his performance
00:36and lead-up to selection.
00:37Yeah, he was saying fantastic, really pleased for me, so I think he was happy with my performance,
00:43which is always a good thing.
00:44Yeah, it was, it was chaotic, because obviously at the time, when I came off, I didn't know
00:48what was going to happen, and Emmet was up in the air, but I was really fortunate to
00:53miss out on any injury, and I got to live the best day of my life.
00:58The most recent is Lewis Hall, who explained his rise and how Eddie Howe works as a coach.
01:02Yeah, because you get obviously the highs and lows.
01:05Last season, there was moments where obviously I was at a low, and yeah, I wasn't feeling
01:12myself, really, but I somehow managed to pick it up at the end of the season, because obviously
01:18I know the quality that I have, and yeah, I managed to pick that up, and this season
01:24I've wanted to start strong, and some games I think I've done that, and other games I
01:28think I could do better in, but I think that's football, really.
01:32You've got ups and downs along the way, and yeah, I think today I was really happy with
01:36how I played, so hopefully I can kick on for the rest of the season.
01:40I think he's very unique in terms of his ideas, and the way he coaches is a lot different
01:45to something I've ever had before.
01:49He works so hard for not just the team in general, but for individuals as well.
01:56As any manager does, they have a lot of work to do before a game and after a game, but
02:02it'll still take time to help individuals on the pitch who may not even be playing,
02:07to help them improve their game whilst they're trying to get into the team, so I think that's
02:12a big, big quality that he has, and I think definitely it makes my job sometimes a lot
02:18easier, with the way we prepare for games as well, so yeah, he's nothing but really
02:24good words to say about him.
02:27The final man is Tino Livramento, who like Hall, is yet to be capped, but is a valuable
02:32new addition to the Three Lions squad given his prowess for Newcastle.
02:36Those three have the potential to represent England for many years to come, and for that,
02:40Eddie Howe deserves credit.
02:42Three young players, who when they signed for Newcastle had a long way to go to be worthy
02:46are now being talked about highly across the country.
02:49The future of England could be very bright indeed, with Eddie Howe and Newcastle United
02:54playing a very key role.
