00:00Those who expected explosive remarks and revelations from the most recent House Quad Committee hearing, safe to say, were not disappointed at all.
00:08But what most probably many would have never anticipated is the reaction and assessment of the former Chief Executive to the Quad Committee's probe,
00:15despite being hailed with a barrage of questions and even accusations.
00:20Why? Manuela Suarez explains in this story.
00:23House Quad Committee Lead Chair Robert A. Barbers expressed satisfaction with the outcome of their 11th hearing, especially since many significant pieces of information came to light.
00:37During the hearing, Duterte admitted several allegations being thrown against him, such as the reward system, evidence planting, and even killings, when deemed necessary.
00:47The former president also declared his readiness to cooperate with the International Criminal Court in their investigation into his war on drugs.
01:17Apart from Barbers, Duterte himself also said he enjoyed the Quad Committee hearing.
01:35But prior to this, last night, former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Duterte almost clashed when Trillanes brought up the issue on alleged bank accounts of the Duterte family,
01:55supposedly containing billions of pesos from drug money.
01:59The former senator insisted that the former president should sign a bank waiver during the hearing to reveal the truth.
02:29In a separate instance, the former president appeared to gesture as if he were to throw a punch at former Senator Laila de Lima sitting beside him.
02:52In an online press conference, the Quad Com stated they're already preparing for their next hearing, and the invite to former President Duterte still stands.
03:22Nothing to lose here. But of course, justice must be served.
