A brief recap of Dragon Age: Inquisition before you purchase Dragon Age: The Veilguard

00:00Are you excited for Dragon Age The Veil Guard, but have no idea what happened in the last game?

00:04Well, we're here to help with this handy Dragon Age Inquisition overview.

00:08The previous game tells the story of an organisation called the Inquisition,

00:12which was founded to restore order as a result of the Breach. The Breach is a tear in the Veil,

00:17which is a barrier that prevents demons from entering the world from a place known as the Fade,

00:22a realm where both demons and spirits dwell. Mages in this world draw from the Fade for their magic,

00:28and it's also where dreams take place. Your character becomes the Inquisitor after they

00:33inadvertently gain a mark on their hand that allows them to seal tears in the sky. Varric,

00:39a dwarven rogue who we originally met in Dragon Age 2, returns as a companion, alongside several

00:44other party members, including an elven mage by the name of Solas, who is very knowledgeable about

00:50magic, elves and the Fade, with his own strong views about the nature of both spirits and demons.

00:57The Inquisitor sets out to seal the Breach and put a stop to Corpheus. Corpheus is an ancient

01:02darkspawn, essentially beings that have been corrupted and spread their taint across the

01:07land in what's known as a Blight. Corpheus seeks to become a god by entering the Fade.

01:13It's later revealed that there's far more to Solas than first meets the eye,

01:16with the end of Inquisition and the Trespasser DLC unveiling some major revelations about the

01:22true history of the elves. Solas is responsible for putting up the Veil in a bid to stop the

01:27elven gods known as the Evanuris. In creating the Veil, Solas destroyed the world of the elves as

01:33it once was, and now he seeks to restore what was lost. In doing so, he now threatens Thedas,

01:39which is where the Veilguard will come in. Are you excited to see what happens next?
