When war erupted in Gaza, Palestinian artists had only one way to share their work expressing the harrowing reality of the conflict: having it smuggled out of the besieged territory. In the Jordanian capital Amman, Darat al-Funun art gallery is exhibiting pieces in a show entitled "Under Fire".

00:00The works, as we can see, have resistance and steadfastness, they have the energy that
00:24they need to express the life they live under the war, the harsh and difficult conditions.
00:31The works, as much as they have resistance and steadfastness, as much as they have sadness,
00:36as much as they have martyrs, as much as they have the daily suffering that people live
00:42under the war in the Gaza Strip.
00:54Honestly, this type of work is very important, and it is very important that it reaches not
01:01only Amman and Jordan, but all the places where we feel pain and pain, but also with
01:07steadfastness and the attention of the artists to whatever material they find, to whatever
01:14material they find, to be able to convey this story.
01:19There is a feeling of urgency, of speed, to be able to convey this work of theirs, the
01:27suffering they live daily, even in tents, so we feel a lot of emotions, honestly, of pain.
